BIG Something

Winners of the Home Grown Music Network’s 2010 “New Band of the Year” award, BIG Something is an alternative rock group with a BIG groove. A tight six-piece ensemble that brings arena sized grooves to every stage they play. This is funk fit for the future, featuring crystalline synths, wailing saxes, and masterful guitars that complement an impressive and diverse catalogue of catchy original songs with charming lyrics and soulful singing.

As creators of The BIG What? – the band members of BIG Something will act as your hosts for the weekend taking part in various aspects of the festival including welcoming you at the gate, DJing between sets, sitting in with other bands, participating in contests, facilitating nonsense, stirring up trouble, and making sure everyone is having a good time. They might even help you set up your tent!

“This is going to be a very BIG show for us as a band, but it’s also about celebrating the wonderful and amazing people who support us,” says front man, Nick MacDaniels.  “Possum Holler has earned a very special place in our history and development as a band. There’s something about the connection and energy we have felt with the audience there that is truly magical. Its helped us understand that together we are all apart of something bigger than ourselves. We really feed off of all the creativity and energy that Possum Holler brings out in people and we’re going to make sure that this show is larger than life. I’ve got goosebumps just thinking about it.”

This year BIG Something will be performing 2 “book-end” sets – opening the festival at sunset on Thursday July 4th and then closing the festival with a HUGE Saturday night set on July 6th!
